This development will create a new 550m2 Short Breaks Centre that will offer respite care for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism. It is envisaged that people would stay at the centre overnight and the length of stay could be from 1-2 days to 2 weeks or more. The proposals include:

 8 ensuite bedroom units

 A communal courtyard area

 A staff area

 A landscaped garden

The proposal is specifically designed to enhance the experience for the users and facilitate their independence. The proposed internal courtyard is designed to allow light to flood into the building and the bedrooms are situated to the north and east, for privacy and to maximise the views towards green spaces.
